Professor of Entrepreneurship and Commercialisation, The University of Adelaide
Noel Lindsay is the Pro Vice Chancellor (Entrepreneurship) and Director of the Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Innovation Centre (ECIC), the University of Adelaide, where he is the Professor of Entrepreneurship and Commercialisation. He leads initiatives in Adelaide and overseas which span the University's ThincLab Innovation Hub Network - ThincNet (encompassing ThincLab Adelaide, ThincLab Singapore, and ThincLab Chalons - France), the TechLab Maker Space, Australian eChallenge Pre-Incubation and New Venture Accelerator Programs in South Australia, France, and Italy, and the development and delivery of the University's entrepreneurship-related MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) and SPOCs (Small Private Online Courses). He has held previous positions at the University as Academic Director Singapore Operations (which included an 18 month posting to Singapore), Head, School of Marketing and Management, and Acting Associate Dean Diversity and Inclusion. In these positions, Noel has gained experience in quality assurance, university governance, strategic planning, leadership, team building, and change management. This is founded upon the academic entrepreneurial experience he gained in working in a small team that established an Australian University in South Africa starting with a Campus in Johannesburg, and then expanding to Pretoria and Cape Town.
