John Davis 

Chief Executive Officer, Naval Group Australia

 

 

John Davis is the Chief Executive Officer and Australian Program Director at Naval Group Australia.


John has an extensive 35 years experience leading and managing large commercial, operational and government defence programs both in Australia and the United Kingdom. 


Prior to joining Naval Group Australia, John worked for Raytheon Australia where he was the campaign lead for the organisation’s SEA5000 campaign, including customer and ship designer focused activities. 
While working for Raytheon Australia, John was heavily involved in the successful Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) Program. John worked in multiple roles across the Program including Alliance Combat System Director, General Manager Strategic Operations and Ship One Sea Trials Director.

 

John was also a member of the AWD Alliance Executive Leadership team.


John previously worked for BMT, an international multidisciplinary engineering, science and technology consultancy as both a Marketing and Systems Director. 


During his time overseas John worked in a number of positions for the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence including Technical Design Manager/Deputy General Manager, Submarine Support Management Group.


John holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Defence Systems Engineering and is a member of a number of institutes including a fellow at the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology.


John lives in Adelaide with his wife.
