Managing Director - Australia & New Zealand, Turner & Townsend
As Managing Director of Turner & Townsend Australia and New Zealand, Anooj is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the ANZ business. Spanning the real estate, infrastructure and natural resources sectors, key projects incorporate large transport projects including Inland Rail, Sydney Metro, Auckland Airport; real estate projects such as Star Sydney, The Jewel Gold Coast and Christchurch Hospital; and in the natural resources sector, key clients include Oil Search, BHP and Rio Tinto.
He sits on Turner & Townsend’s Global Operations Board and the ANZ Board, and Chairs Turner & Townsend’s Real Estate, Infrastructure and Natural Resources Boards in ANZ. Since his appointment in 2014, Anooj has overseen a growth of circa 50 percent of the Australian and New Zealand business and a diversification program across 14 sectors, 12 offices and 6 service lines.
Prior to relocating to Australia, Anooj led the delivery programs for some of the UK’s most prestigious infrastructure clients including Transport for London, Network Rail and Anglian Water. Additionally, he managed Turner & Townsend’s Rail Sector in the UK for six years.
Anooj is passionate towards creating a cohesive construction industry, particularly focusing on how to enhance performance through collaboration; as well as driving efficiency resulting through the most cost-effective mutually beneficial client outcomes.
